Candidates for graduate study should apply through the Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) program of the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Biological Sciences. This program allows graduate students to rotate through multiple labs in the first year, providing a diversity of research experiences prior to selecting a lab. Application deadlines are typically in early December.
